Project Details
I collaborated with a local nonprofit, Colorado Springs Food Rescue (CSFR), through my Grant Writing course at UCCS. They communicated that they would need me to find a list of funders and create an RFP that would be submitted in December of 2021.

-
The organization needed to find funders that aligned with their values.
-

Analysis
This project started with a formal meeting with the Community and Outreach Director, where I gathered information about the CSFR's operation and company values. Once I had compiled enough information, I started my independent research, where I utilized Foundation Directory Online to compile a list of suitable donors. I maintained strategic communication with the organization by scheduling a series of meetings and email chains. The representative from CSFR and I chose to pursue the State of Colorado Covid-19 Grant and I began to write the grant application. Once the application was finished, I began to edit the document for grammatical errors, accuracy, and format consistency. The final grant was sent to CSFR and submitted.
